Sandy and I vacationed in Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, and Carolina Beach for years. The winters were tough in upstate New York where we lived, and summer seeming to take forever to arrive. We loved coming down here where the weather was great, the air was fresh, and the southern hospitality warm and welcoming. One day it dawned on us that we should buy a vacation home here.
We bought a starter home, loved it, sold it, bought something bigger, and eventually decided to just move here.
