The town of Surf City (zip code 28445) is the larger of the two towns that make up Topsail Island, the other being Topsail, located along the southeastern North Carolina coast, halfway between Jacksonville and Wilmington, NC.   Surf City is easily accessible from I-40 and US Route 17 via NC Highways 50 and 210.

 Surf City is a small family vacation destination, with fewer than 2000 year round residents.  Visitors enjoy Surf City as “the way the beach used to be,” quiet, serene and bucolic. It is renowned for it's  historic “swing bridge,”  and famous sea turtle hospital, The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. 

Surf City's pier in the center of town is over 900 feet long, originally built in 1948 and rebuilt in 1997,  it is visible from most all areas of the beach.  We have visited this beach for many years...it is pet friendly, not as crowded as other area beaches, great facilities, and no charge parking.  A truely relaxing place!
