Wilmington NC and The Cape Fear Coast Local Weather
Have you ever wondered what the weather is like in Wilmington, Wrightsville, Kure, Carolina Beaches and Topsail Island?

In Wilmington we have the great fortune to experience four seasons in Wilmington with our average winter temperature about 50 degrees. Summer's average temperature is 78 degrees, but we do have some hot and humid weather in July and August. What can we say? Its beautiful here. We probably have about 45 days over 90 so be prepared for a few hot days. We do have some days under 32 degrees but on average they are few and winter is very short here....may 6 to 7 weeks and you start seeing buds on the trees early in the New Year. We have over 250 days of sun and clouds. Our beach water reaches 82 degrees in the summer and cools off in the winter to the 50's. Our trees do change color in the fall and lose their leaves, but come February the buds on the trees are noticeable and the azaleas bloom in April. If you are lucky, they may bloom in December. In Wilmington, we have several growing seasons, and one can have beautiful flowers in bloom year-round. Roses last well into the cold weather and if you love pansies, well this is the place. They even survive a freeze and we do get a few of those. Not to worry, just cover your plants for a few days or bring them in the garage.
