Southport is one of the endearing areas around. It is quaint, quiet and picturesque. For over 200 years sailors have been attracted to this small fishing village with its marinas and docks. 
It sits south of Wilmington, NC so you have an easy and pleasant commute into the city if you need more than what Southport has to offer. 
There are multiple beaches to choose from in this area called the Brunswick Island. The residents and vacationers alike love the coastal experience of Southport and the Brunswick beaches. The community consists 6 municipalities of Caswell Beach, Oak Island, Bald Head Island, Boiling Springs and St. James. Southport has guarded the mouth of the Cape Fear River for over 200 years. Boiling Springs is unique because of its bubbling spring lakes. St. James is the newest town along the Intracoastal Waterway.
